AIDS Without an "S" beckons us to AID; "Do something," it seems to say

That is what AIDS means,
'do something'
it beckons,
without an "s"
it says aid,
the fundamentals,
the finances,
the money for transport fare,
the money for airtime,
the money to pay house rent,
the money to buy groceries,
the money to pay for food,
The fixables,
the medical needs are to be met,
medication, a bed, compassion,
the mental or  cognitive needs are to be met,
conversation, privacy, mutual consultation
the  institutional needs should promote consistency,
planned progressive activities,
there should be deferential and compassionate treatment,
light work which is not strenuous kind
be candid and fix economic issues,
plan for incomes as well as expenditures,
ensure the social life of a person living with HIV,
this addresses the benefits of friends,
AIDS is not only ARVs,
it is more than pills,
it has a human face.
